About Necropolis:

This is my second album of solo free improvisation and electronics. As I did with Nocturne, I created this album by improvising acoustically on various saxophones/setups over a period of months. I then chose my favorite raw acoustic improvisations as the basis for the album, and manipulated each one using Ableton Live 9. Each track is one take, without cuts.

Details for the tracks are as follows:

1. Welcome to the Boneyard: Improvised on alto saxophone, without a mouthpiece.

2. Idiot: Improvised on soprano saxophone with a traditional setup.

3. For Pirate Jenny: Improvised on baritone saxophone, without a mouthpiece.

4. Zombie Star: Improvised on alto saxophone, without a mouthpiece.

5. Not the End: Improvised on baritone saxophone with a traditional setup.
